Forthcoming.
Dayana Akhmadeeva is a Brooklyn-based filmmaker originally from Moscow, Russia. With a background as a professional ballet dancer, her approach to cinema is deeply influenced by rhythm, movement, and visual composition.
Currently pursuing her MFA in Cinema Arts with a focus on Directing at the Feirstein Graduate School of Cinema, Dayana's work blends formal precision with a documentary sensibility.
She is drawn to the architecture of cities and seeks out striking, often overlooked compositions in urban spaces. Her films explore mood, texture, and atmosphere, often using analog formats to evoke a tactile connection to place and time.
